On May 20, China’s leading enterprise Xiaomi released a new and unique design of the smartwatch. This new watch will appear on the stage on May 24. Many people predict that this product will become one of the Chinese most popular products. Why is this conclusion reached?

This watch is equipped with a 1.56 inch AMOLED runway full screen, which is said to have increased the display area by 50%. 326ppi reaches the retina level, with a clear and delicate display effect, and supports dynamic color display. According to the official introduction, the new bracelet provides a 1.56 inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 490*192, which is higher than the 486*152 (the normal pixel of usual watches). The touch function of this 1.56 inch AMOLED also adopts the most advanced on-cell touch inlay technology, which injects the touch sensor into the middle of the AMOLED film, making it more sensitive to touch and faster to respond. Incell refers to the method of embedding the touch panel function into the OLED pixels, that is, embedding the touch sensor function inside the display screen, which can make the screen lighter and thinner. At the same time, the screen should also be embedded with the supporting touch IC, otherwise, it is easy to cause wrong touch-sensing signal or excessive noise. Therefore, for any display panel manufacturer, the threshold for entering the in-cell touch screen technology is indeed quite high, and it still needs to overcome the difficulty of low yield. At the same time, the defective rate of this technology is high, which is a big pain point for the product. Therefore, it is not easy to achieve a reasonable price.

However, most LCD manufacturers of smart wearable watch devices have enlarged the display to pursue more powerful device configurations. Not many manufacturers can insist on producing small bracelets at reasonable prices. It is worth mentioning that this kind of screen is not unique.
